The tendency of Human beings to copy one another is shown in the popularity of fashion, clothes and consumer goods. To what extent do you agree?

Awed of the prosperity of time’s success human beings tend to copy one another to reach the same status. For the sake of popularity especially in the fashion industries and consumer goods, this trend has been observed on par. I thereby agree with the nation.
Since medieval times, humans have perused different strategies to attain certain social status. Attaining fame, however, has also been observed to play the very role of mimicking. For instance, Italians and French are known to have been the innovation icon in certain fashioner business. Narrow bottom trousers and pants can be observed in today’s fashion that has been adopted by the rest of the world. For the recent orientation of such phenomenon, the trend of promoting what’s common and popular is withheld in haberdashery business. Bespoke suits is another popular line of fashioner originated from Italian fashion industry, and circumvented its ways from Europe to America haberdashery business. Companies frequently keep in check of the latest and the bestselling features and adapt to it as soon as possible to facilitate their consumer without making them double minded on the choice of the brand in general.
However, this very phenomenon is observed in technological industry as well. The rage between Apple and Microsoft has sung from the ear to ear in all around the globe. Often, one is the originator and sometimes even successful where the competition sees a new open market and grasp onto it as fast as they could without doing more market research due to which many companies lose the league as in the case of Microsoft phones trying to compete against Apple phones and Samsung phones.
To conclude, Rolf Dobelli best explains this phenomenon and categorizes this as ‘swimmer’s body illusion’ where people follow the trend in manufacturing as well as consuming to become better socially while neglecting the caveats. Perhaps it is rightly said, ‘Only dead fish swims along the stream’.
