Modules of IELTS

There are two modules of the IELTS:

the Academic Module and the General Training Module:

The Academic Module is designed for those who want to continue their education after intermediate or bachelors in English Speaking Countries in any field.

The General Training Module is designed for those who want to apply for skilled immigration or gain work experience.

What is the minimum requirement for IELTS?

There is no fixed minimum score requirement for IELTS test — institutions, Employer and Government Agencies set a different threshold .and validity for the test is only 2 years. If 2 years completed so you have to appear in IELTS exam again at the time of applying for student visa or immigration.

How IELTS exam is structured?

There are four modules in the IELTS exam and each module has 9 bands and candidates must complete four modules and get maximum bands in each module and then after all bands are added and divided by 4 to get average band score.

Listening

It comprises four sections. Each section has 10 questions – section A and C based on conversation where two or more than two people are talking whereas Section B and D based on Monologues where single person giving a lecture or a speech on particular topic. If you your 33 questions are correct so you will get band 7 in listening test.

Reading

It Comprises 3 sections. Each section has minimum 13 questions and total 40 questions you have to solve within 60 minutes with answer sheet. If your 30 answers are right in academic reading so you will be scored band 7 whereas in General Training Reading you have to correct 15 questions out of 40 to attain band &..

Writing

In the Academic writing Task one is report writing and task two is Essay Writing which you have to complete in 60 minutes and In General Training module, there are also two tasks. Task one; write a letter or explain situation and task two is Essay writing.

Speaking

The speaking test is divided in to three parts. in the first part usually examiner make you comfortable by asking very simple questions about yourself, your home town, studies, shopping etc. and in the second part gives a topic to speak but also give you one minutes for the preparation in that one minutes you are allowed to write bullet points related to the topic and can look at your points while you are speaking and in part three he asks you follow up questions related to part two and then continue asking detailed questions to check your grammar, vocabularies and speaking skills .
